Canterbury slide to 12-21 home defeat after promising start

Canterbury RFC 12 Taunton Titans 21.

Two scores in the last 10 minutes cost Canterbury a victory at a wet Marine Travel Ground on Saturday.

The home side had been enjoying a five-point lead going into the final period of the National League 2 South match.

But a series of mistakes deprived them of a hard-earned victory in extremely trying conditions and cost them a bonus point.

The West Country outfit, on the other hand, displayed the strength and relentless possession which keeps them in third place with with 80 points.

Canterbury find themselves in 10th spot with 55 points. Cinderford head the 16-team league with 105 points while Broadstreet languish at the foot of the table with 25.
