Police searched areas of a Canterbury gym after fears that a firearm was present.
They went to Pure Gym in Sturry Road on Wednesday evening following reports that “a suspected weapon” was seen being removed from a car on the Thanet Way at Whitstable earlier that day.
One witness said officers were seen looking in lockers at the premises.

A 17-year-old boy and 25-year-old woman from Canterbury were taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
The woman was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug.
Police spokesman Natalie Hardy said: “No threats were made, no injuries were reported and no weapon has yet been recovered.”
The gym was searched as part of the investigation, police added.
Both suspects have been released pending further investigation.
