City named as one of the easiest places to buy property

Canterbury is one of the easiest places to buy property, according to new research.

Property website Compare the Market has discovered that properties remain on the market here for an average of just 28 days.

London is shown as having an average of 89 days while Southampton comes in at 40 days and Bristol 56.

According to the survey, the average house price in Canterbury is £311,000 compared to £639,000 in London.

At the other end of the scale Bradford, which is the ninth easiest place to buy property, has an average house price of £131,000 while Sunderland’s is £140,000.
