A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was hit by a car in Gravesend on Sunday.
Police were called to Dering Way at just before 10am after reports of a collision between a car and a woman.
Minutes later a car was on fire in the same road.
Patrick Molloy, 28, from the town has been charged with attempted murder. He is also accused of driving a motor vehicle without a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and criminal damage.
Officers attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The woman was airlifted to a London hospital with a head injury which is not believed to be life threatening. Police say she and Molloy are known to each other.
Molloy is due to appear at court in Medway today (Monday).
