Firefighters tackle blaze in loft space

Firefighters were called to a property in Barham last night.

Two engines attended Green Hills after reports that a fire had taken hold in a loft space at 5.40pm.

Smoke had been seen coming from the roof.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to douse the flames and also isolated the electricity supply.

No one was hurt. Crews left the scene at 6.15pm.
