A vote for women march in London in 1910

The Canterbury Baptist Church in St George’s Place is playing host to a special event to mark the centenary of women getting the right to vote.

It is organised by the Canterbury Ethnic Minority Council.

Among the speakers will be Canterbury and Whitstable Labour MP Rosie Duffield and Canterbury City South Lib Dem county councillor Ida Linfield who will discuss their lives in politics.

The day will also see a festive atmosphere with Palm Wine Music from the West African coast plus traditional food by Hawkinge Fish Bar and Paul Babra’s Curry Club. It starts at 3pm on November 24.
