The annual Whitstable Oyster Festival promises a weekend of fun for the whole family later this summer.
It celebrates the seaside town’s traditional oyster fishing industry and begins with the landing of the oysters ceremony.
Lord Mayor of Canterbury Cllr Colin Spooner will formally receive them on the Long Beach.

The food and drink fair is also back, featuring regional, national and international cuisine.
Tankerton Slopes is being opened up in order to allow more space for revellers to enjoy the summer sea views.
This year’s Oyster Festival takes place on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22.
