The summer fair of League of Friends of Kent and Canterbury Hospital takes place later this month.
It will include a fun dog show with lots of entry categories including the waggiest tail as well as a children’s art competition with entries from three local primary schools.
In addition to the familiar stalls selling books, DVDs, local produce and so on, there will be a wide range of other entertainments, including a brass band, a coconut shy, Punch and Judy, a bouncy castle and face painting.
- Canterbury and Coastal CCG placed in special measures
- Our health needs are more critical than simply building a new hospital
Food from the barbecue, refreshments and ice cream will also be available.
The fair will be held in the outpatients car park at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital starting at 11am on Saturday, August 18 when Lord Mayor of Canterbury Cllr Colin Spooner will formally open the occasion.
At 2pm a grand draw will take place with a top prize of £1,000 will take place.
All money raised by the fair will be used by the League of Friends to buy equipment and gifts for patients and staff at the hospital.
