A picture has surfaced showing banned Australian cricketer David Warner clutching a piece of sandpaper while at Canterbury’s St Lawrence Ground.
The opener, his captain Steve Smith and batsman Cameron Bancroft have all started bans after being embroiled in the cheating scandal in Cape Town during the current series against South Africa.
Cricket has been rocked by the revelation that Bancroft had taken sandpaper on to the pitch to alter the condition of the ball, provoking uproar in the sport. Smith and Warner also colluded in the attempt to cheat.

Warner was touring with the Australians during their 2015 visit of England, which started with a match against Kent.
It is believed that Warner, who didn’t play in the game, agreed to help out with some work at the ground.
Club officials would have been much more happy with his efforts around the ground than the work on the ball at Cape Town’s Newlands stadium last weekend…
The Australian cricketers have shed a few tears, do we forgive them for cheating!?
