Today’s rugby a victim of the weather as freeze persists

Canterbury Rugby Club’s first XV match at Worthing is off.

The squad had been due to play the south coast rivals in a 3pm kick-off.

But this morning Worthing announced that despite efforts to prepare the pitch, it was still frozen.

Canterbury are currently in 10th place in the National League 2 South with seven games of the season still to play.

Their next home match is against Clifton at 3pm on Saturday, March 10.
