Canterbury chartered accountant Alan Davidson has published a book which aims to help entrepreneurs achieve business success.
Mr Davidson is a 50% owner of Pentins Business Advisors which is based in the Innovation Centre at the University of Kent campus.
His book Achieve Your Business Vision is described as a “guide for visionary entrepreneurs who want to take their business to the next level, maximise profits and minimise stress”.
- Should we be stockpiling our favourite continental foods ahead of Brexit?
- There’s nothing like a London commute to ruin your day
It outlines how to build a business while avoiding common and costly mistakes.
Mr Davidson has based his book on more than 25 years’ experience working with large and small businesses during which time he has seen entrepreneurs struggle to fulfil their initial expectations.
He said: “I have an unshakeable belief that entrepreneurs have the power to change the world. They bring innovation, fun and change to society. However, they can also make big mistakes if they do it wrong.
“It is my mission to help visionary entrepreneurs overcome obstacles and grow a business that serves them, their customers and the world at large. One way I can help many more entrepreneurs is to encapsulate my thoughts into a book, and here it is.
“The best way to learn is to try something and see if it works. If it doesn’t, see the experience as a lesson.
“It’s how children learn. It’s how society learns. In this book I have pulled together many of the successes and failures I have encountered over the last 25 years, both through my clients and in my own business, to help you.”
Achieve Your Business Vision is published by Rethink Press and will be available from today (Tuesday, March 5). It can be bought in paperback or for Kindle via Amazon.
