A firm which specialises in introducing wines to people is holding its debut tasting in Canterbury.
Wine Underground will be taking guests around the world in eight wines with each from a different country and typical of the region from which they come.
They consist of a sparkling wine, three whites and four reds.
The tasting will also feature cheeses from Cheesemakers of Canterbury, Italian salamis and cured meats, olives and sundried tomatoes and other nibbles.
Henry Rymill, formerly of the Tankerton Wine Room, conducts The Wine Underground wine tastings. He has more than 20 years’ experience working in vineyards, wineries and the wine trade.
“We always aim to make our wine tastings an entertaining, informative and flavour filled evening out,” Henry said.
“It’s a fun and relaxed way to try new wines, learn about them and the estates as well as catch up with friends. We have been doing tastings and wine events successfully in Tankerton and Whitstable for a number of years now and thought it was time to give residents in and around Canterbury the opportunity to join in.”
Wine Underground’s debut tasting takes place at 8pm at Tower House, Westgate Gardens at 8pm on Thursday, November 15.
Tickets are £20 a head. For more information or to book email Henry Rymill firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0777 5449604.
